Matthew Pejkovic is a Sydney-based film critic and entertainment journalist, and the founder of Matt's Movie Reviews. Online since 2006, the site covers new theatrical and streaming releases, classic cinema, filmmaker interviews, and premiere coverage.

Matthew writes, edits, and hosts the work published on the site, as well as the Matt's Movie Reviews Podcast and YouTube channel. His reviews and interviews have also appeared in publications including FilmInk, The Brag, The Big Issue, Collider, JoBlo, We Got This Covered, and DMARGE.

The focus of the work is straightforward: watch the film, judge what is on the screen, and write about it clearly. That approach has remained consistent across 20 years of coverage, from weekly new releases to long-runningconversations with directors and actors.

Matthew launched Matt's Movie Reviews in October 2006 and has run the site continuously since then as owner, editor, writer, and podcaster. Alongside the independent site, he has contributed film criticism and interviews as a freelance journalist for print and online outlets in Australia and internationally.

He holds a Bachelor of Media Studies from Swinburne University of Technology, a Diploma of Arts Management from the Australian Institute of Music, and a Certificate in Writing for Publication from the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism.
