As entertaining as it is important, What is a Woman? delves into the increasingly alarming issue of transgender indoctrination in a western world held in the grip of progressive idealogues, and does so with fearless curiosity and often shocking results.

Throughout What is a Woman? social commentator Matt Walsh travels across the USA in search of an answer to a simple question: just what is a woman? Just like everything else in this increasingly insane world we live in, the answers are needlessly complex to the point of madness, as academics and activists reply with a bunch of word salad usually revolving around proclamations of “my truth.”

Never one to allow empty PC gobbledygook as an answer, Walsh continues to press his interviewees to often illuminating and at times hilarious exchanges. Walsh – part agitator, part investigator – is as reliable a guide seen in a documentary in some time, taking his unflinching poker face and sharp wit into the belly of the beast in a bid to find out how a word as mundane and easily defined as “woman” has become a pride flag draped hot potato.

It doesn’t take long to dig up recent history and find how flawed studies and views adopted by mainstream physicians has led to a pandemic of gender dysphoria within which children are especially treated as lab rats. This is partnered by the frustrating reality that much like the parable of the mad king, society has indeed drunk from a well poised with the manta that “gender is a social construct.”

Director Justin Folk (No Safe Spaces) creates a compelling and entertaining documentary that never gets bogged down by the heavy themes What is a Woman? investigates, in doing so presenting a quest for answers to a question that the ignorant would label “dangerous” and the arrogant would claim “offensive.”

With Walsh as our fearless guide, the truth is indeed found without fear or compromise. Like a cool drink of water found in an upside-down wasteland, let’s hope the audacity to ask What is a Woman? can purify that poisoned well from which the masses drink before it is too late.
